| Download Pen Drive Linux, the UUI version after you download an iso. This will make a bootable Live drive. Also, set a persistent file. This will allow you to use the live drive and save small files and settings and they will come back when you boot again. It will give you a very simple taste of what switching to Linux is like.

Ubuntu is always a solid distro to start with but feels more like Mac to me. Coming from decades of Windows use, I prefer Mint Linux. Just as easy to use. My computer is 13 years old, but it was much more powerful than a shelf PC from Best Buy at the time.
