How good is the head at taking the husks off? We tend to drop the spreaders and windrow the husks behind the combine, running new holland knife rolls so the other stalks are broke loose from the base. Get mostly husks and leaves this way but leave a fair bit of cover behind, chopping head would make little difference in this approach.
