Every situation is different. Is a land roller gonna dry your stalks out after a rain? I doubt it. Shredded stalks don't bale easily. Are you making 700 bales a year or trying to do 700 a day. We have a 90 series deere head and run a batwing behind it. If the stalks are rained on it will fluff them up. We have a bale shredder not a bale spreader. Longer stalks bale easier and baling stalks can be weather sensitive
