| Yea this year wasn’t great. But even before Covid at least the price of inputs wasn’t insane. Not even subjective, it’s an objective reality that this year is one of the worst if not the worst in the past decade maybe even longer. 2015 to 2019 were tough I suppose but like I said inputs were cheap and interest was negligible.
So really you gotta go back before 2012 to find a worse year.
So OBJECTIVELY this is the worst (or “not great”) year that we’ve seen in recent memory,
But I’m worried about next year. This years over. A 9.50 average on beans I think will bring about considerable pain in the farming community. And it seems like that’s where we are headed
As far as the “let’s flush the toilet and get rid of the people who are stretched thin” I don’t know if I agree with it. I want all farmers to thrive | |
