I want to build a shallow concrete pit that I can set my auger hopper into and place a grate over it so my wife can unload corn without having to move the hopper into place for each load.
In this area the frost usually goes about 4’ deep. If this pit is only 18-24” deep, will the frost gradually push it out of the ground?
