ECIL | Used to use them all the time. We called them a stop and waste valve. Top has a flat, straight tab that a home made rod with two plates fit over. Run a 4 inch pipe to the top of the ground and stick the rod/handle down over the tab and turn, 1/4 turn shut the water off to the tank and drains out a weep hole on the side. Cap the 4 inch pipe when the rod is pulled out. Just make sure to put gravel around the valve for a place for the water to drain. Google stop and waste. | |
