East Central Arkansas | Irish potatoes the worst truck patch experience I have ever had. I know I did a lot wrong. Weather hit just right to be a disaster. Had heavy rains about the time they were ready to dig then turned off unreasonably hot. Not a good storage shed and ended up with about 50 bushels of rotten potatoes in bushel wood sweet potatoes boxes. Got busy on the row crop farm for a couple weeks before tending to them. Ended up dumping the whole mess in a dirt buggy to haul off. I think it was a couple years before I could eat a potato. About as bad a smell as I have ever dealt with. | |
