| What tillage tools do you have? I have a DMI 530B ripper. What I do is take off the front outside blade (usually the left side) and then go around the outside perimeter of the field. The front blade usually throws a lot of dirt out. By taking it off then the rear blade sticks out the furthest and cuts and pulls the sod in. You could almost pull two blades but I’ve never tried it. I usually go over it a few time to break up the sod.
Edit to add: this works because the discs are individual on a 530 ripper. Obviously wouldn’t work well on a regular disc or tillage tool with full gangs. Unless you could remove the whole gang, but doesn’t sound easy or fun.
