Southeast WI | I have a Yieldsense monitor on my 9500 combine. Calibrated and trued it up multiple times before doing any trials. Last year tested it against a 24 plot trial (6 N rates with 4 reps) of similar size and it was a few % off off weigh wagon but every single dump was consistently off that 2% so it's accurate plot to plot. Didn't really have time to calibrate it on the one bean cover vs no cover trial I did but every weigh wagon load was within 3% of the monitor - exact weight isn't as important as consistency from load to load and I'm comfortable using the monitor. It cuts the harvest time of each trial by more than half. | |
