Hinfarm has the best answer so far. I think you would have to be on top of cow condition. Overfeeding/underfeeding could easily rob any profit. And being able to move the cows to pasture or cornstalks, at least for a little while, would sure help disease pressure. An old bank barn with a Harvestore and an H bunk with a half acre of concrete would be perfect.
