| Man this really sucks take lots of pictures, document everything. That mold is going have to be killed some how and sealed . The vapor barrier will seal the walls. Maybe ?? You really don't want that in your walls. Former co worker built a new house 20 years ago . Finished basement outside walls got damp from the foundation leaking. Mold was in the walls behind the vapor barrier and his kids got sick from the mold. Ended up gutting the walls to the concrete. Then refinished it . Contractor stood behind his work, No cost to the owner . House was only 1 year old when this happened . Wish you well. Let us know how this turns out. | |
