Yes, we breed corn based on cytoplasmic male sterility (CMS). I personally know one of the major Russian breeders.
In the south-west of Russia, a problem has now arisen: due to climatic changes in recent years, the yield of cucumbers has fallen to 20-40 cents per hectare (1,800-3,500 pounds per acre). Therefore, this culture was abandoned.
