| We cover ours with silver hazard fraught tarps, just got done covering a 45 5x6 bale stalk stack Sunday actually. We lay a 29 x 58 out flat where we stack, the one tarp line is a center of a row, other row on the tarp next to it, skids or tires under every bale, once it’s staked out in a pyramid with 30 bales, we pull the tarp up over and it’s about a foot off the ground on the other side to allow some air flow. We tie every other loop on the tarp off to the skids under the bales and tie in the ends so they let air flow but not loose. Works very well and keeps stuff nice. I have been taking stuff out we baled in first cutting and it smells nice and is green yet. Would never waste fuel, time and wrap to do dry hay. Those tarps get us 2 years, sometimes more, for the price it works fine to me. | |
