Leesburg, Ohio | We had several whole fields and varieties with split planter trials this year.
Almost every time it made about 4 bu. more with hopper throttle than without.
We had to sort out the endrows on the data maps to eliminate the influence of trees/wildlife on the outside rows in the results, because the outside half of the planter with the HT on it was always next to the boundaries.
Not thinking we will use it next year, because with a 3-4 bu gain, it was about a wash for dollar returns.
Definitely NOT using pivot bio.
Probably not using N stabilizer either, just going to use more N. | |
