Scottville, 49454 Northwest Michigan | I've never tried applying phosphorus on the soil surface. So I can't comment on the effectiveness of that practice, at least not from experience. But based on everything I've learned.... phosphorus doesn't move much, little-to-no leaching or movement in the soil. So I question whether we can get much positive response from applying phosphorus on the surface. That would be my only hesitation from using 10-34-0 as you suggest.
