Chebanse, IL.....

I have put videos on YT for many years now. I haven't created any second email accounts or anything like it. Just me & my email. I use my name.

Never-ever has anything bad happened. Yes, there have been a few stupid comments to some plowing videos I've had, but they were obvious & laughable.

You can make them public or viewable by only those that YOU initially give the URL to. But if your trusted cousin gives that URL to his not-so-trusted cousin, you may have lost control. You can delete a video, but if anyone has saved it on their computer, it's goes on forever anyway.

I suggest putting whatever you feel comfortable with on YT. Don't check the "Public" box if you aren't comfortable. You can also go into the video later & make it fully public with just the click of the mouse.

One frustrating part of YT is using music in the background. Some songs will make it through their approval, some not. A couple of years ago I video'd a parade and there was a float with a local boot dancing group coming by playing "Boot Scootin Boogie" while the ladies were dancing. YT silenced that part of the video. That seems really stupid to me. The music was OK for thousands to view personally, but not for thousands to view online. But, I got over it.
