I see, before I went to strip till I was down to no fall tillage. Hit the corn stalks with a sunflower 6631 with a double rolling basket behind it and plant beans, and hit the soy stubble with a f/c and plant. It was a very efficient system, but I was worried I was creating a shallow hard pan always only tilling 3-4in deep every year. I kept the same system from corn to beans, but switched to strip till before corn to be able to go a little deeper with tillage, but not risk the erosion and get the fertilizer right where the corn needs it.
