Denatured alcohol will soften most adhesives used in tapes. Pour it down behind the device you are trying to remove. Gently pry and continue to add alcohol as you make progress. If this does not work, use fishing line to cut the tape. Fillet knives work good too if the tape is a thicker foam core.
