North Central Nebraska | We've been doing exactly what your asking for years and it works really well. Only difference would be we run twin screw pentas. Good knives are still important in my opinion even using processor first. Just the wear and tear you save on your vertical mixer not throwing whole bales in pays for the processor and i feel we burn less fuel this way than letting the vertical do all the work. I wouldnt be afraid of a old haybuster. As long as ur half way mechanically inclined there a simple machine. | |
