Higginsville, MO | If you're going to work on it yourself, a Gleaner is a good fit. R40, 42, 50, 52, 62, 72 are good machines. Dont be scared of the deutz, just have to keep leeks off them and clean, just like all motors! Dont know how many acres you have so size of combine could vary. Actually working on fixing the cooling fan on the deutz in our R50 now, not bad other that service manual stinks since it has 4 languages in it. Any of the machines mentioned are just user and service friendly. Like all colors they have some tough to get to spots but not near as tedious as other makes. The thing i hate the most on 91 and older Gleaner rotaries is that blasted step down in the cab. | |
