But as far as if it's worth the investment? That depends on you, the year, and what all you'd want to do with it.

Do some rough math, how much is a plane charging in your area? Say $10/ac, 500 acres of corn, that's $5k for 500 acres. Wanna hit it again for a late bout of southern rust that rolled in? $10k for 2 passes. Neighbor might want you to hit his stuff too while you're out and about. Or go spot spray some weeds that got through.

You mention your beans, you can fly slower and increase GPA and get great coverage if you need deep canopy penetration, without running over any plants. The props push the plants over as the drone flies and helps get full coverage.

A p100 pro if well maintained and cleaned after use should be good for a least 5k acres before some recommended service and that's very conservative. I think it was slough that got to 10k before replacing anything?
