| I think it would be very worth while, if not for the government BS.
Last year I needed some weeds spot sprayed. Every one was busy with fungicide so no one wanted to mess with my deal. I don't blame them.
Even if I paid for the whole farm, 100 acres a day would be about it, when they do 400 down the road.
To make matters worse, They have to avoid trees etc. and reset to maintain line of sight on mine when they just turn it loose on the 400 acres.
I took the pickup and spot sprayed the beans. How much yield loss I had from that is unknown but some for sure.
I tried to had spray the corn. I and family spent a week or more on that before we gave up.
After fungicide was over, my spray guy did spray most of the field with his drone. It helped but I still lost probably several acres of corn, not to mention the weed seed for next year.
I took a hit on the beans also, as some areas that were not as bad didn't get sprayed.
The short version is I could have made back a lot of the cost of a drone in one season.
