| There's not a totally easy way to do this today.
If you wanted his fields / boundaries to show up on your equipment monitors with data sync - you would need to move your equipment into his account. Data sync can't take some things from one account and some from another.... it's only going to look at the account the machine is in, and sync everything in that account. I presume you don't want to do that because you'd be moving equipment around all the time if you're doing the custom work.
Options - add his fields to your org and then share only those fields back to him or you can leave the accounts separate and you can manually move the data over to him when the work is done (Field Analyzer -> Share/ Export -> Work Data -> Share Work Data -> Select Partner -> Submit)
