yay. greenstar has had this for what, 10 years?
Don't get me wrong I'm happy but this is not leading. its barely keeping up.
now how about see and spray?
a dry module capable of multiple sections?
row feelers/guidance?
I love Ag Leader, but not sure how much deeper I should invest in their systems at this point honestly.
It's a cold day, and I've had too much time to think about these things, but I'm wondering if Ag Leader is ripe for a buyout or merger. Maybe not the likes of Agco or CNH, but perhaps an implement company such as Kinze, Harvest International or Unverferth. In Kinze or HI's case, they would have a planter ready for their planter products, and then to make NH3 bars or spreader boxes for some of their rate products wouldn't be too difficult.
I think AgL could catch up to Deere pretty quickly if they pick up some good programmers, but that's going to take some cash that I'm not sure AgL could do on their own in short order.
But, maybe they're happy with the position they're in. A lot of guys out there are still very happy with the basics and have no need for some of those advanced and automation features. |
