I've always had F.C. with 6" spacing so I don't know. I have gotten >.5" rains after spraying and not bothered working ground again. My Earthmaster leaves the surface too rough so I always level the ground before spraying. I do feel that the increased surface area of worked ground improves herbicide efficacy.
