The booing of other countries national anthems is pathetic though. One thing to remember is that pathetic display does not reflect the attitude of the entire country. Canada is as polarized as the U.S. is. I imagine the booing came mostly from the Liberal/democrat side. They are sheep following the media like in the U.S.
Trudeau went from telling the public the flag was no longer a symbol of the people of Canada when the people peacefully protested against him and then told Canadians that they have no national identity. Now with the threat of tariffs he tells everyone to unite behind the Canadian flag as proud Canadians and fight. And just like that the mainstream media sheep are once again proud of the Canadian flag and boo the U.S. national anthem."

Ah yes the good old hypocrite in you coming out again. They didn't boo the flag until someone decided it was perfectly fine to begin thinking about forcing another sovereign country become part of another county. What did you think would happen?
Do you see how every post had a jab in there of some sort. The difference is two of the posters did not direct their insult directly to another poster. The third poster, you, insulted someone directly.

I am tired of the stupidity that has taken over. Social media has given the least qualified on subjects a mouthpiece that they don’t deserve. So yes I am condescending as it gets old rehashing the same crap over and over.
And you dont have a clue as to my political stance at all.
Edit: we have lost amazing posters on markets and business all because some coffee shop experts yell louder. And that issue is what has become of the political discourse. Just look at the airline plane crash. It embarrassing what the political types said. And now nothing when the actual facts start coming out.
So let’s dissect this a little bit. Even if I narrow up the focus, which I didn’t actually intend it to be so narrow, you took issue with me saying the booing happened because of the tarrifs. Then you made the statement of why YOU believe it happened. Neither of us actually know. It is almost a guarantee that the various individuals would have booed for various reasons. Exactly as I intended it to be interpreted despite your nitpicking. That is your “I know everything” attitude showing through. Actually the statement in your post:

You are making it clear that you feel entitled to be able to be condescending towards others.
For a long time now the attitudes you directly exhibit towards others in your posts make it clear that you think you know everything, everyone else is stupid compared to you, and you are holier than thou. And now you are admitting that you even feel entitled to be condescending towards others on social media sites. You recognize the type of behaviour that creates toxic environments on social media platforms but you have been incapable of seeing it in yourself.
I am not saying I am innocent and that I don’t get a bit too snarky myself at times. But it is extremely rare that I directly attack a poster that hasn’t attacked me first. I try my best to agree to disagree if I don’t see eye to eye with a person without directly insulting them.
Edit to add: Just so you know, If the tables were turned I would have responded with something like “I think the biggest reason for the booing was due to Trumps 51st state comment”. That would have led to an entirely different conversation than a response like yours led to.
