North Central ND | I cut some alfalfa fields around the 5 Rivers Mcelhaney yard in Wellington AZ back in ~2016, at the time they were owned by JBS. Now it appears that is the biggest of the 5 Rivers feed yards (115k head capacity) according to their website.
Similar to the Yuma, CO location they had their own train engine and rail service right into the middle of the yard. There was 7 trucks with vertical mixers on them, they ran pretty much non stop all day everyday. | |
