| In addition to what L bar says, spray the heifers udder and teats with food coloring. If you check and see color missing and or on the calf face, you know it nursed. More than once I've had calves go 2-3 days before I saw them nurse, yet I knew they must have because they weren't hounding the cows to try and eat nor did they croak of starvation. | |
