| We have used Ferappease on heifers if we have to pull a calf. Our cattle aren't used to a lot of human interaction up close. So it's a tool that helps. However don't put Ferappease on cow until after you pull calf. We've had heifers go down if you put it on first.
I'm curious if the oxytocin use will give some of those killer heifers that get a imbalance in system right after calving. I've had heifers that will clean calf off, then as soon as calf tries to get up they go after them and try to tromp and throw them in the air. | |
