You have to inject it or nasal spray it.
That's the only way to get past the brain barrier.
Those heifers can get very hormonal after birth, and some cows.
It helps let milk down and create a mothering effect.
To the OP.
I am not a fan of any colostrum replacer.
You don't get any antibodies with it.
Get a cow out of your herd that has a good bag, that just calved and milk her.
Store that in your fridge and use it instead.
Or just put her in the chute and take it or let the calf nurse.
Since you nursed it once, put them in a pen and watch.
He will figure it out.
