deep SW On.
Early '60's modern farming was taking off , Atrazine, Trelan,Amiben, ect. and big improvement in farm machinery

Around '65 lot of 706's (mostly gassers), 5000 fords ,65 or maybe 165 mF

Very few Deere's ,only 1 farm locally that had a 4010 then went to a 4020

After '65 I think it was kind of a boom time until floods of '69...no crop ins. or safety nets

A late good farmer grew 145 bu. of Dekalb 45XL ...in '69 lots of beans 10 con 40 ish

Have a Bean sale receipt of Dads from oct. 27 ,1967 36,850# @15.5% $2.65 bu.

Combined with MH 90 Special

Dad bought a new 990 DB (idk price after trade in) listed around $5,500 , IH 40 plate 370 disc $600 and new F 100 pkp. $2,350

Processing tomato crop was great in '67 .... I was 15 and thought life was great
