NW Iowa | Papa, for me it was a 1951 John Deere A with a Caswell loader. I still have the tractor but I couldn’t wait to cut the loader up in 1971 when we put a full hydraulic loader on a tractor with power steering and live power. Two years ago I found a deal I couldn’t pass up on a real nice 1950 A with a nice Caswell loader on it. I bought it with the promise I will never separate the loader from the tractor. I told the family I never will separate them because the rig brings up memories from my childhood. I have never scooped up anything with it but just having it in the shed makes me feel good. It is stored in the same shed the original unit sat in when i was a kid. | |
