The Inflation Reduction Act included a 50% cost share from the taxpayer and then another 40% tax credit. I really don't know how that all works but I assume the solar farm only gets the tax credit on the half they paid for. The solar farm in my area sold their tax credits to Google. These subsidies would be for any renewable energy, wind and solar.
