The answers have been amply explained but noone wants to believe it.
When a company has policies in 48 states and the losses in some state exceed the total of all the premiums for all the states --Hello, Houston we have a problem
They have no choice other than raising EVERYONES premiums.
If they don't, they're bankrupt.
If they're bankrupt you have 1 less company to choose from.
And no I don't sell insurance and no I'm not sticking up for them
