Quebec is a thorn in our side here too dont kid yourself.
If you think the americans are going to give us fair representation, open your eyes man, they're talking about canada being 1 effing state with 2 senators for crying out loud.
Benefits of being canadian
1- healthcare
2- we dont believe the answer to gun violence is more guns
3- canada doesnt start wars
4- better education by international standards
5- you cant sue people over petty crap like the americans do
6- canada is far more respected in the global workplace, maybe that doesnt mean anything in the long run but i take great pride in that fact
7- our parlimentary representation has its flaws for sure but we are NOT an oligarchy like the US has become
Finally, if you dont think the US will strip the resources the west has to offer give your head a shake, thats why they want us.
1- Google your Healthcare. Why are hospitals turning away people?
2- I doubt removing them is the solution.
3-Canada hasn't really done a whole lot, except for when Britan called on you to fight wars they started.
4- I honestly don't understand your point, because you have people in your capital talking about how your best and brightest are heading south. If your education was so good, wouldn't you have an economy to keep them there? Historically I've wondered why the US economy took off and Canada just kinda sat there.
5- no, but your government can seize all your stuff at the stroke of a pen with no apparent way to fight it.
6- that's kinda all you have. You have Versatile, Ford, GM, and Firestone and not a whole lot there. What good is respect if it doesn't mean anything?
7-you should actually learn about your neighbors to the South, not just parrot the news that your King(***) puts out. At least we know when our elections are.
8- since this isn't the 1800s, and you aren't a pineapple plantation, not a whole lot would change, aside from more companies drilling and competing for leases. |
