West Central Illinois | Not proud of it, bit of an oversight but had a good heifer accidentally get a ralgro implant in her at 1st round of shots she was 5 months old at the time. I know most people don't implant heifers intended for breeding and neither do I. I've been implanting with ralgro at 1st round of shots this year to all steers and heifers that weren't contenders for getting kept.
This heifer looks great, 50% southpoll and her momma breeds on time, looks good raising a calf on just grass and it just so happens this is the only heifer out of this particular Southpoll bull I'm very fond of. He's on a smaller herd last 2 seasons and he tends to throw mostly bulls has been my experience.
Should I just keep her in the feeder calf group and forget about it or should she get a chance? | |
