That was done in Nebraska in the mid 60’s and another round in the late 90’s early 2000. Other district mergers at other times as well. Now the consolidated districts that are 25-35 miles apart are fighting to get the ‘nicest Taj Mahal’ so they can vie for being the location that survives as the next round of mergers are probably coming in the next 10 years.
