Subject: RE: State of Indiana Power Grab? Part 2

Floyd County, Iowa
We've been fighting against commercial wind and solar sites (they're NOT farms) for a year now. Our previous county supervisor chairman was in favor of them and did everything he could to promote wind turbines. He has 5 or 6 on his land. But he doesn't live here, and hasn't for 2 years. He kept a mailing address in the county so he could keep the job. He now lives in the next county, but they passed ordinances against wind and solar, and it's essentially a dead issue there. Imagine that. Just like most of them- OK for your neighborhood, but not in my own back yard.
They (the wind and solar companies) won't give up. They're now lobbying the state congress to take the control out of the hands of the counties and let the state make the decisions that we will have to live with out here. They're also lobbying for statewide imminent domain for both wind and solar. I wish them all nothing good (trying to be nice here).
