| ^^^ this, I’ve calved out enough piggy heifers to know that the ones built for it are fine, the ones made to be feeders are just that. A lot comes down to feed, a lot of operations feed replacement heifers harder than I feed a steer over winter that’s destined for grass. The guys making good cows outta heifers, an implant wouldn’t matter besides hormone manipulation. They aren’t feeding them enough to affect growth with an implant. | |
