Central NY | It will drain to whatever the equilibrium is. I would rather tile shallow and have the outlet be visible, than put an outlet underwater just to have the tile deeper. Water isn’t going to drain uphill, so it doesn’t gain anything. It does increase the risk for silting and root plugs. If you know the ditch will get cleaned in a few months, that’s one thing. But it's always better to get that done first. | |
