Subject: RE: John deere 4650 cleaning oil in coolant

Last one I did we had weather coming in and the oil cooler on the auger tractor went bad. We kept adding oil until the weather came in so it was pretty bad.
I got it fixed and then filled and drained a couple times. When we started auguring again, I just put the garden hose in the radiator with just enough flow to overflow a bit. I think I put some Cascade in at that time. I generally add vinegar also.
The oil would come to the top between loads and flush out. I did run water from the water heater so the thermostat pretty well stayed open.
It probably ran a couple hours total that way.
In the Semi, I would add soap and water, make a trip and repeat. Do that three or four times until the water was not foamy. That was with dish soap.
