The keyboard shortcuts CTRL+C and CTRL+X (cut = remove from original location) then CTRL+V paste are the way to go. Windows11 thinks we are too stupid to read copy and paste so have replaced it with an unclear icon which still catches me out - I must be too stupid to understand icons.
