If you want perfectly accurate guidance an ATU isn't the answer. It's a great option but not as good as integrated of course. 

If you NEED better signal I'd buy an SF3 ready SF6000 and use that instead of your 3000. Very accurate signal for not a ton of money and those 6000's already activated are cheap compared to what they were
