I’ll never forget in the 70’s, how some local farmers in central Illinois thought ground prices were too high here, went to Missouri because land was cheaper, crops almost as good as here, nothing but sunshine and rainbows. Then a few years later came crawling back with their tail between their legs, as Missouri ground and weather showed them who was boss.
