Missouri | if the head gaskets were leaking to the out side I would look very closely at the space between the heads if there is any hint of a raised spot or any fretting the head has been moving from expansion contraction and will continue to cause problems after an in frame which means milling the deck and cutting the counter bore and out of frame . it is also unlikely that there was no antifreeze getting in the oil that leads to crank wear if both of those items check out id put a set of liners and bearings in it find the cause of the dirt getting in . you will also need to be prepared for lower liner packing clavation damage . you will still have less in it than putting a fan drive on a deer .. you could put it back together use it till you can find a more reasonable priced shop to do the work if you are going to have to go deep | |
