I reviewed my entire vaccination program for all classes of cattle with my vet. No mention of a problem with pasturella at birth here.

Last spring was the first year of Naselgen pmh at birth without an issue. So far so good, does not prove anything. However, this was my only vaccination for calf respiratory disease until pre-weaning.

I appreciated one less vaccine at branding time but I will review any documentation discussing the issue.

Valley vet says Nasalgen 3 PMH is for 7 day old and older calves.

Edit= Merck website says nasalgen 3 and nasalgen 3pmh is for week old calves. All their trial data was for 3-4 day old calves at the youngest.
