SW WI | I plant 2 acres sweet corn with field corn around me. Across the road should not hurt even if abit pollen crossover. Dont plant 2 different varities ( like se/sh2 then plant augmented/sh2 or SE) sweet corn unless a good 14 day different pollination if planting same field. I also run a heavy population proper pollination. I have had field corn pollinate just over the fence line just about the same time as my sweet corn and I am always worried of cross pollination. So far been okay. | |
