I wouldn't have a wheel rake for any kind of hay, especially wet.
I have gotten along very well with my Vermeer R2300. I believe you could get the same capacity as rotary would give you for less money and fewer moving parts. Just my opinion, worth what it cost.
That’s the route we went. All the moving parts on the rotary scared me, plus no mechanics in my area familiar with them. I used to rake haylage with our r2300 until our custom chopper guys put a merger on their swather.
