Grandfield, Ok.
Laid down some short barley this afternoon. Dusted in last fall and had a pretty good stand until about 6 weeks ago when we got a hard freeze. The barley was 6-8 inches tall. The freeze killed all most all of the top growth. What I have left is mostly regrowth. With rain predicted for Friday how should I handle that with a case 563 baler?
My thoughts are daytime baling , drop pressure down to about 7+900 lbs. And make the bales 5 ft tall.
Wrapping would probably be best but no wrappers in the area.
